Rhys talks a lot and writes a lot of songs, some for his band Stable Vices, some for solo adventures and some for other people. His songwriting virtues are honesty, humour, hooks and harmonies.

He has crafted some of the countless answers to that question into an infectiously catchy tune and made a funky video clip to take you on a toe-tapping tour around town…
EAGLE ON THE HILL is a song about Adelaide and the listener is invited to imagine that the city itself is the singer, so it tells you stuff like “I am the blazing sun, I am the endless sky” with passion, but also has some fun with lines like “I am the best three pubs in the whole damn world”.

Rhys has been writing and performing songs for the past four years with his band Stable Vices, which plays occasional gigs, usually at The Exeter in Rundle St (presumably one those best three pubs in the whole damn world).
